St. John XXIII CES celebrates Asian Heritage Month

In Celebration of Music Monday and to recognize Asian Heritage Month, Grade 8 student, Cecilia C. under the guidance of Music Teacher Monica Parisi, performed 'Liu Yang River', 'Playful Butterflies' and 'Thunder' on a traditional Chinese instrument called 'Guzheng' . The Guzheng, known also as the Chinese Zither, is made from Wutong wood and makes music that sounds similar to thunder and a cascading waterfall mesmerizing staff and students alike.
