Following the Mass, guests attended St. Jean de Brebeuf CHS for an Open House that included: a cake cutting ceremony, an art exhibit, performances by current and former students, a showcase of various school clubs and councils, and a museum gallery of mementos from the school's past.

St. Jean de Brebeuf first opened its doors to 549 students in the 2005-2006 school year under the direction of its inaugural principal, Romolo Villani. Today, it is home to over 1,300 students and is recognized as a school immersed in 21st Century Learning.

In addition to an exemplary academic program, St. Jean de Brebeuf offers a comprehensive athletic program, and an exemplary arts education with a focus on Drama, Visual Arts, Instrumental/Vocal Music and Photography. The technology programs boast an award-worthy yearbook and courses in Communication Technology, Broadcasting, Hair and Aesthetics, Robotics, Manufacturing, Design Technology and Computer Engineering.

The school offers two Specialist High Skills Majors programs in Business and Sports and appreciates its unique joint-shared facility and its partnership with the Vellore Village Community Centre, making use of the 25-metre, 6-lane lap pool and its outdoor rink and fields.

"St. Jean de Brebeuf is so proud to celebrate its 10th Anniversary," said Rocchina Antunes, Principal. "It is wonderful to reflect on, and honour 10 years of outstanding education. Our school is exemplary and we are extremely proud of the many staff and student accomplishments. Our success as a school is due to the passion, professionalism and dedication of our staff. They spend countless hours planning and preparing for innovative and creative lessons that educate the mind and nurture the soul of our students; and providing leadership opportunities for them in our extra-curricular programs.

"We know that the true indicator of a superior education is the ability of a school to graduate students who use their knowledge and skills to make the world a better place and to lead a life with character and integrity.  Our students will graduate having had many opportunities to innovate, discover, create, lead, excel, collaborate, serve others, think critically and find solutions to complex problems with the end goal of understanding the value of helping others and creating a sense of belonging where everyone is respected and valued.

"I thank everyone who celebrated this milestone anniversary with us."
