Students make lasting memories at YCDSB's Arts and Athletics Camp

This spring, approximately 300 students and staff attended the Board's Arts and Athletics Camp (ACC), which is a five-day excursion.

Since 1989, YCDSB has run the AAC at beautiful Camp White Pine in Halliburton. Schools bring their Grade 8 for their graduation trip where they participate in arts and athletics courses and fun activities lead by student leaders from YCDSB high schools. Many of the student leaders are former Arts and Athletics campers. Students make lifelong friendship with students from other schools and gain a valuable experience to take with them to high school and beyond.

This year, 250 Grade 8 students from Father Henri Nouwen CES, Holy Family CES, Holy Name CES, Our Lady of Grace CES, St. Joseph CES (Aurora), St. Matthew CES, St. Nicholas CES, St. Patrick CES (Schomberg) and St. Rene Goupil - St. Luke CES attended along with 50 staff and student leaders from St. Augustine CHS, St.Robert CHS, Sacred Heart CHS, and Cardinal Carter CHS.
