York Catholic Board Congratulates its 2016 Distinguished Alumni!

In celebration of Catholic Education Week, May 1-6, the York Catholic District School Board is proud to announce its 2016 Distinguished Alumni. Each year the Board selects six graduates from its secondary schools who have gone on to make significant and unique contributions in their respective careers and communities.

Announced each year at the beginning of Catholic Education Week, the campaign includes profiles of the Distinguished Alumni on posters, which are widely distributed across York Region.

Frank Corrado

Frank Corrado is a defenceman for the Toronto Maple Leafs after the NHL team claimed him last October. Frank is a graduate of Holy Cross Catholic Academy in Woodbridge.

Jemille Chu-Morrison

Jemille Chu-Morrison is a Teacher with the York Catholic District School Board, who now teaches at the same school she graduated from, St. Elizabeth Catholic High School in Thornhill.

Laura D'Addese

Laura D'Addese is a Pediatric Cardiologist Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Pediatric Institute in Ohio. Laura is a graduate of St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School in Maple.

Remo D'Antonio

Remo D'Antonio is a Specialized Criminal Investigations Detective with the Toronto Police Service. Remo is a graduate of St. Elizabeth Catholic High School in Thornhill.

Francesca Fiumara

Francesca Fiumara is the Director of Medicine, Rehab and Complex Continuing Care with the William Osler Health System in Brampton and Etobicoke. Francesca is a graduate of St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School in Maple.

Lynn Gonsalves

Lynn Gonsalves is the Company Program Manager for junior Achievement of Central Ontario, a non-profit organization that mentors youth entrepreneurs. Lynn is a graduate of Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy in Markham.
